SNOW IN VEGAS!!!!

I know I haven't blogged for awhile but I could not pass this one up! Yes, there is snow in OUR BACKYARD!!! Trent and Brayden loved it from the time it started coming down. Brayden said, "can I open my presents now!" For some reason he has connected snowing with opening Christmas presents. Those two played and played in the snow having snow ball fights and just jumping on the trampoline. I went out with them to play and man do they have good arms, they both nailed me multiple times from across the backyard with a snowball! After we made a snowman, I decided to wake Jaxon up. He was very cautious at first. I didn't have any gloves for him, so the first picture I took of him he was trying to get the snow off the ball that was on the lawn. As soon as he touched the snow he started crying. So I got a nice picture of that too! Once I put some socks on his hands and showed him how to make a ball out of the snow and throw it at his brothers he loved it. I guess it might of helped that the rule was no one could throw a snowball at Jaxon so he had a great time. I had to empty my memory card before we went sledding so I thought I would blog this and I will blog sledding later.

Happy 5th Birthday Brayden!

Yesterday was Brayden's Birthday! I can't believe he is five years old. I know he doesn't look it but he is. We had a great day yesterday he woke up to 5 balloons in his room with $1 bill in each one. He asked how he got them out of there I said, "I don't know what do you think?" He went and got the fly swatter and started whacking away. I then told him you probably should just sit on them so he finally popped them all! Then of course a birthday wouldn't be a birthday without some roll up pancakes for my kids!( AKA - Swedish pancakes, Crepes) My kids love them but I hate standing in front of the stove forever and they eat them as fast as I can make them and then want more! So on there birthdays they know I don't have a choice but to do it for them. He had preschool yesterday so we took in treats to the class, but the highlight of the day was his very first friends party! We told him he could choose 3 friends and we would take all of them to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. So we loaded up the car after Randy got home and headed out with Randy, Me, Jaxon, Brayden, and his friends Maddox, Nick, and Avrie in one car. Brayden's cousin Zachy that he adores followed us out there with Trenton in his truck. The Shark Reef was so much fun it was fun to watch the kids and see how excited they were about EVERYTHING! They gave us the wands so we can plug the number in of the exhibit that we were looking at and hear about it. I thought the kids wouldn't want to use these but they were all about them. They wanted me to push the number for all of them. They Loved the sharks swimming over their heads and under there feet!!! When we got back in the car I asked them if they had fun, they all said, "YES"! Cute Nick said can we do this next time. After the reef we went and picked up some pizza and back to our house for presents. Grandma & Grandpa came over to meet us at our house for presents and of course help for putting the presents together!
Brayden is my most challenging child but he is also the one that comes up with the funniest things. He loves to play with Trenton they are best friends and he is lost at home without him. When it comes to sports Brayden is a natural. He loves playing baseball and has a great arm. He always had since he was little. A couple of years ago my nephew David was over at our house. Now David always seemed to have a way of talking Brayden into things and calming him down. Well this time was a little different. Brayden had gave me a water bottle and wanted me to write a B on top so he knew it was his. So I did this and he was convinced that it was not a B, and started having a fit because he wanted a B on there. This was the time that David walked in. He asked Brayden what was the matter and Brayden chucked the water bottle across the room at David screaming it's not a B. He only missed David's head because he quickly moved it when he saw the bottle come flying at him. ( Do you see why he has been my challenge) He has grown up a lot in the past two years. He is very helpful to me and always keeps Randy and I laughing at the funny things he says.He is a good friend and his teachers alway say they love having him in class. We love you Brayden and hope you had a great BIRTHDAY!!!

Cute Story

I have to tell this story about Trent. Today after church Randy told me that they had to go to a fireside tonight. Trent of course was listening in the back seat. Randy and the boys have been building a lot of fires lately and they went with him to scouts a few weeks ago and learned about fire safety and loved it. Well when Trenton heard that they had a fireside he got all excited and said,
"we're building a fire tonight!" Randy and I started laughing and I guess we never explained it to him because he just finished saying his prayers and asked Heavenly Father to keep Randy & Cameron safe at the campfire!! I didn't have a heart to explain to him what it was after that. I thought it was so innocent and cute that I had to write it down before I forgot.

Needed to Catch Up

I know I really need to catch up. WARNING WARNING this is going to be a long post!!! The Sunday before Halloween Randy's aunt passed away. He was really close with his aunt as he was growing up so he had a really hard time. He ended up flying up to Oregon to be there with his family and for the funeral. I stayed home with the kids and made sure they got to their Halloween parties for school. Randy flew home on Halloween, he made it home about an hour before we went to the church for Trunk or Treat. The kids had made a welcome home sign for him so I thought it was only appropriate to get their picture in front of it. We really missed Randy while he was gone. He hasn't been doing many side jobs so we are used to having him home with us.
The kids had a lot of fun at their Halloween parties for school. Here is a few pictures that I took.

Every year we go to the Trunk or Treat at the church. It is always a lot of fun and it is much faster than Trick or Treating!! ( I really don't like Halloween) Pretty much all of the family goes down to the church now so it makes it a lot of fun and you can always count on Jess & Liz to surprise us!

Jaxon was the cutest little baseball player. He wouldn't let me put on the superman costume but the baseball player he didn't have a problem at all with.

Okay that is enough for today I am tired!!! I post more later!

I don't know what to do with myself!!!

It's just Jaxon and I tonight!! I am feeling very lonely. You know all of the times I wish for my kids to go to bed so I can have some peace and quiet! Well, tonight they are not here and all I am doing is wishing they were. Randy had a scout camp this weekend for the deacons. Cam was in some major trouble and wasn't able to go but Randy had already taken the day off tomorrow so the camp was still on. Randy called about two hours before they were going to go and asked if he could take Trent with him. I very cautiously said okay. When Trent got home from school and we told him to go pack he was thrilled. Poor little Brayden was broken hearted because he wanted to go so bad. Randy caved in and took them both. They were both very excited this is the first time they have camped in a Tent without me. (Except for the backyard) Anyway, I am missing the full house tonight. I thought it was going to be great but it feels very empty. I will stop blubbering now and go watch some sappy movies.

Do You Remember???

Do you remember just being a kid and having fun? I remember having tether ball tournaments in our backyard growing up. I was the champ by the way:)! Well, on Trent's Birthday, in July the Aunts and Uncles gave him a tether ball. We are very spoiled in our family we are not satisfied with just any old tether ball pole we have to have a GRANDPA MADE ONE. Grandpa makes ones that will last forever! Tonight my parents came over to our house for dinner because the missionaries were coming over and Randy wasn't going to be home. Trent got a nice surprise when grandpa pulled up in Uncle Lonney's truck with a tether ball pole strapped on the back. Trent was able to use the crane on the truck to lift the pole up! ( because it is that heavy duty that you need a crane) They sat it in place and the smile on Trent's face says it all. I think his first game was with grandpa but I didn't get a picture of that. If we could only be a kid again!!! Thanks Grandpa!!

THANK YOU!

Do you ever have one of those moments where you are thankful for the great people in your life? This morning was one of those moments for me. I was getting all the kids ready and out the door for school. I went into Jaxon's room to get his clothes out. I found these cute little jeans and shirt and got him dressed. Then I realized that everything that Jaxon had on were clothes from my wonderful sister- in - law Tracey. Tracey is one of those people that think that the things they do for others are not a BIG deal. She has such a big heart and she has always been there for me and whatever problem I was going through or just to laugh with me or have me boss her around :) etc...! She always seems to know exactly what I need without me even telling her! I am so grateful for my brother Joe marrying her (BTW Happy Birthday Joe!) so I can have her in my life. I won't get any mushier now, but I am grateful to all the great friends and family that I have surrounding me that keep me going and that are such great examples to me and my children.

This is the cute clothes I pulled out and the only happy picture I could get Jaxon to pose for was one where he was getting candy out of our Halloween bowl.
